I'm a long way from releasing a new album, but now progress has been made, so stay tuned. And tell your friends about this, blog, tweet, share on Facebook, get the word out; the next album release is going to be a big one!

Hey gang! A few things to tell you.

First, in case you didn't already know my buddy Alastair and I have started a band called Sunday Times, and you can find us now on MySpace: HERE! - so please do :) - we're on Twitter, too.

Also, I'm going to be releasing some music soonish, which is stuff from my next album which is neither finished nor named yet so still a while to wait for that. But new music IS on the way :D And I cannot wait for you to hear it.

I've been working on this for a while, it's a total redesign of the site and I'm quite proud of it, so please let me know what you think!

One of the big new features is the you page, where you can make a miniature review of my music in general which may be featured on the site, so I encourage you to head over there now and have your say!

In other news, I've got a few songs which should be finished recording in the next month and a half or so, and I have two gigs this week, one at Redhouse in Sheffield tomorrow (10th June) at 8, and then on Sunday (14th June) at West Street Live, at an all-day acoustic session with many other acts which starts at 16:30.

I hope to see you at either, or both of these!

I've finally gotten around to uploading most of my catalogue to iLike!

So all of you who use iLike (I know you're there!) can now check out my profile here and go ahead and make those playlists, dedicate songs and share music. Go nuts :)

So, anybody who reads this is probably wondering "Where the hell is Dan?" - well fear not, I'm still here.

Basically, the house I'm living in is pretty flimsy. The walls are as thin as tissue paper and so recording can be a bit of a bitch, because I don't want to be disturbing my housemates all the time with my wailing.

That isn't the only reason though. Until recently I've had a bit of a creative dry spell but in the last couple of weeks, it's been coming back again. I have three songs in the pipeline which, fundamentally are all complete and I've got some ideas down for the fuller, recorded version. I'm going to test them at open mics in the Sheffield area, and maybe try getting some gigs at local pubs.

Until then all I can offer you is the classics, but fear not: I have neither given up nor died, and I'm really excited to get back onto recording ASAP. It just won't be easy, since I need to choose my recording sessions carefully.

If anybody has any ideas for how I could find a good place to record please let me know, because I can't be the only person in this situation.
